Microchipping is a permanent form of identification for your pet.   It is safe and fairly inexpensive.  The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted underneath the pet’s skin with a syringe.

We can insert the microchip during a scheduled surgery or during an office visit.

 

The cost to microchip your pet in our office is $40  

 

Our hospital uses Home Again Micropchips which are recognized worldwide.  The initial charge covers the application and registration for the life of the pet in the National Pet Recovery Database.  There are bonus benefits for the first year as well.   If an owner wishes to continue the bonus benefits after the first year, HomeAgain requires an annual renewal fee.  Bonus benefits include:
